John and I went on an amazing outing earlier this month. We've been wanting to see the Terra Cotta Warriors exhibit with the National Geographic for awhile, but being accustomed to free museums around here, had put it off. There were no more weekend tickets available before the exhibit ended, so we met John at the metro right after work (he usually has an early shift) and went into town. It was a kind of crazy day, but fun. There was only one complete meltdown, somewhat inevitable when you mess with a two year old's nap. Everyone really enjoyed the exhibit, the boys are especially enamored of all things heroic and warlike. We splurged on a cheap little replica and Teddy claimed it as his own- he likes to see his archer and hold it and think of it as his own. We had hoped to be back in town for obligations that evening, but when we realized it was going to be a late evening we scrapped our dinner plans and went out to a Chinese buffet, which we felt was an appropriate end to the day ( :
