Field Trip

I just wanted to share pictures from our field trip to the National Colonial Farm on Thursday. I wanted out of the house after being cooped up with the flu the first half of the week, and thought this would be a lovely place. The kids loved it, it was deserted, and we just had a grand time. It is a state park (?) and like a living history museum of farm life in the mid 18th century. The kids enjoyed the animals and the Potomac (with a beautiful view of Mt. Vernon). I thought the home, dating from 1770 was very interesting. We'll definitely be heading back to learn more!
