Day 4: Working for a living

John did have to do some work, of course, so he left early Monday, leaving me to my own devices. I enjoyed the chance to read, practice my music, and prepare for the day in peace. I went to the Bishop Museum that day, quite fun. It was a treasure trove of information and cultural heritage. Planetarium shows and guided tours were included in admission, so I enjoyed the chance to explore the museum in a depth that the children don't usually allow me to. It was great fun! After getting back to the hotel, John and I topped off the day in a perfect manner, with a delicious dinner with a coworker, a lei, and a walk on the beach.
