Quiet Moments

One of my favorite byproducts of the voyage to Italy was the quiet moments. I had numerous opportunities to explore museums, enjoy the view, and just sit and think. In many ways I feel the trip gave me the opportunity to become reacquainted with myself outside of my role and responsibilities as a wife and mother. While that is not the reason I traveled (I could not possibly justify the expense!) it was a wonderful result. I feel more comfortable in my own skin now, more sure of what I believe (and don't believe), and more confident in the decisions John and I are making in our lives. Money cannot buy the peace I feel, and for that I am grateful.
