Much of this week consisted of Snow days. When you're homeschooling, snow days don't mean a big change in routine, but they are still fun. Monday evening an ice storm moved through the area, creating some hazardous conditions. It was not nearly as bad as the one that came through a few years ago, but still enough to cause some problems. Theodore was devastated because his gymnastics class was canceled, but I was delighted because John came home from work Tuesday at 1, and I finished my thesis proposal thanks to his help! It was kind of icky all day Tuesday, and Tuesday night a beautiful snowfall began. When we awoke on Wednesday there was somewhere around 3-5 inches of snow on top of the previous ice/snow. In many areas that wouldn't be a big deal, but it was a pretty big deal here! They shut down schools on Wednesday and Thursday as well, and John had no work Wednesday. So, the children enjoyed some PBS shows on the computer, as pictured, John shoveled, Christopher gallivanted around outside despite the blinding sun on the snow, and John and Christopher partook in a good old fashioned snowball fight. Fun times.
